چکیده
With the development of human communications the usage of Visual Communications has also increased. The advancement of image compression methods is one of the main reasons for the enhancement. This paper first presents the main modes of image compression methods such as JPEG and JPEG2000 without mathematical details. Also, the paper describes gradient Haar wavelet transforms in order to construct a preliminary image compression algorithm. Then, a new image compression (AKS) method is proposed based on the preliminary image compression algorithm that can improve standards of image compression. The AKS method is compared with original modes of JPEG and JPEG2000 by image quality measures such as MAE, PSNAR, and SSIM. The image quality and statistical results confirm that can boost image compression standards. It is suggested that the AKS method is used in a part or all of an image compression standard.

Mechanisation of AKS Algorithm: Part 1 - The Main Theorem
The AKS algorithm (by Agrawal, Kayal and Saxena) is a significant theoretical result proving “PRIMES in P”, as well as a brilliant application of ideas from finite fields. This paper describes the first step towards the goal of a full mechanisation of this result: a mechanisation of the AKS Main Theorem, which justifies the correctness (but not the complexity) of the AKS algorithm.
متن کاملExuberant inflammatory reaction to occlusion of topical 5-fluorouracil (FU) under a continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) mask: A warning to dermatologists and patients
AKs: actinic keratoses CPAP: continuous positive airway pressure FU: fluorouracil INTRODUCTION Actinic keratoses (AKs) are precancerous cutaneous lesions with a prevalence of 11% to 25%. Fair skin (Fitzpatrick type I and II) with light eyes and hair along with increased age, male gender, excessive ultraviolet light exposure, and immunosuppression increase the risk of AKs. AKs are most commonly ...
متن کاملAn Empirical Study towards Refining the AKS Primality Testing Algorithm
The AKS (Agrawal-Kayal-Saxena) algorithm is the first ever deterministic polynomialtime primality-proving algorithm whose asymptotic run time complexity is O(log n), where > 0. Despite this theoretical breakthrough, the algorithm serves no practical use in conventional cryptologic applications, as the existing probabilistic primality tests like ECPP in conjunction with conditional usage of sub-...
متن کاملSome remarks and questions about the AKS algorithm and related conjecture
We show that AKS-algorithm for primality testing ( see [1]) can be modified to run in Õ(log n) time. We present some remarks and ask two questions related to this algorithm.
متن کاملIn Vivo Non-Invasive Evaluation of Actinic Keratoses Response to Methyl-Aminolevulinate-Photodynamic Therapy (MAL-PDT) by Reflectance Confocal Microscopy
Photodynamic therapy (PDT) with methyl-aminolevulinate (MAL) is an approved non-invasive treatment option for actinic keratoses (AKs). In vivo reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) is a non-invasive tool for real-time imaging of epidermis and superficial dermis in vivo that has been previously reported to facilitate the in vivo evaluation of skin lesions, including AKs. The aim of this study wa...
متن کاملClinical recognition of actinic keratoses in a high-risk population: how good are we?
BACKGROUND Actinic keratoses (AKs) are dysplastic epidermal lesions considered to be potential precursors of squamous cell carcinoma. Most AKs are diagnosed clinically and are rarely confirmed histologically. High interobserver variation exists among dermatologists for the diagnosis of AKs. Previous studies of the positive predictive value of the diagnosis of AKs have yielded rates as high as 9...
